Lorrie Loughney

Lorrie grew up in the small town of Towanda in Bradford County,
(a good place to be from), earned a BFA in Theater and Communications at Mansfield State – and moved to Scranton to get a Masters in Public Administration from Marywood. As a country mouse moving to the big city, friends gave her mace as a going away present, which she was quite relieved to have never needed it and grew to love the city. Lorrie is a never-published writer, but even in elementary school she told everyone she wanted to be a writer when she grew up. Over the years, she wrote and produced chancel dramas at her church. In recent years, she has been cast in several community theater productions and served as a founding board member of the Scranton Fringe Festival. Two of her children’s plays were produced at DIVA theater, and a short play for adult actors is currently in production. Lorrie is grateful for the Green House project for introducing her to Craig’s zoom school, where she is learning to write poetry and loving every minute.
